Copper Key 2.0 - Version 2023
The copper key offers you the possibility to compare worldwide common standards and materials or their designations. For this purpose, you can search in the full text, but also by material composition and by standard. A significantly expanded database version of the copper key is now available online. The free cloud version offers users considerably better search and comparison options than the previous online tool.
The new system offers extended search and analysis functions. Not only can the international designations of the known alloys be found easily, extensive information on the chemical composition, typical mechanical and physical properties and product specifications of copper alloys is also available, which can be filtered and analysed in clear tables.
For those who prefer to work with the old version of the copper key because they are familiar with the systematics, this version is available until further notice.
Please note the allocation of copper alloys suitable for drinking water to product groups
A) tubes
B) fittings, pipe connectors, apparatus and pumps for drinking water installations
C) 1. components in fittings, pipe connectors, apparatus and pumps for drinking water installations whose total surface area in contact with water does not exceed 10 % of the total surface area of the component in contact with water. 2. fittings, pipe connectors, apparatus as well as pumps in the area of water supply outside the drinking water installation with a normally permanent flow.
D) components in fittings, pipe connectors, apparatus and pumps in the area of the water supply (BEFORE the building) outside the drinking water installation (C2), whose total surface area in contact with water does not exceed 10 % of the total surface area of the component in contact with water.
